December 13, 2011 - Delaware will launch the second session of Kauffman FastTrac Program on 17 January,2012
After a great success of the first Kauffman FastTrac program which graduated on 13 October,2011, Delaware Emerging Technology Center will launch the second session on 17 January, 2012.

FastTrac offers an entrepreneurial ecosystem complete with unique, group-oriented courses designed to help you launch or grow your business featuring essential frameworks, strategies and insights along with a reliable support network of leaders and peers.

August 15, 2011 - Delaware Launches Affordable Entrepreneurial Training Program
The Delaware Economic Development Office will introduce the state's only active FastTrac entrepreneurial training program next month to help entrepreneurs hone the skills they need to create, manage and grow successful businesses in Delaware. Applications are now available for the first 5-week series, to begin Monday, Sept. 12.

Developed by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, FastTrac, the nation's leading entrepreneurial education program, provides practical, hands-on business development training to participants. The program is offered by DEDO's Certified Kauffman FastTrac Affiliate, the Delaware Emerging Technology Center. DEDO will make two course tracks available for the first series:

FastTracĀ® NewVentureSM is written by entrepreneurs for aspiring entrepreneurs. Course modules will focus on developing a business concept that will help participants build new start-ups. Classes will be held twice a week, each Tuesday and Thursday, from noon to 4 p.m. in Wilmington. Certified facilitators for FastTrac NewVenture include:

June 9, 2011 - Delaware Attracting Bloom Energy for High-Tech Manufacturing Hub
Bloom Energy has plans to build its new, high-tech manufacturing hub in Delaware, subject to a final agreement with Delmarva Power, as well as the passage of enabling legislation and regulatory approval. The new investment could create up to 1,500 high-tech jobs between the company and its suppliers at the site of the former Chrysler factory in Newark to manufacture Bloom Energy Servers, which are already helping to power companies like Google, FedEx, Coca-Cola and WalMart. October 22, 2010 - Lieutenant Governor and DEDO Announce New Loan Fund For Companies Specializing In Energy Efficiency
Lieutenant Governor Matt Denn and the Delaware Economic Development Office announced today that the State of Delaware has created a new $1 million revolving loan fund to help jump-start businesses specializing in energy efficiency. The fund was made possible by a $500,000 grant from the United States Department of Commerce, which was matched by a contribution from the state's Strategic Fund. More
